Thousands of years ago, all pigs were wild. Wild pigs are still around today. However, most pigs now live on farms. Pig meat is called pork.
Pigs have short, curly tails. They also have a round nose called a snout. Some pigs are pink or brown. Others are black. Some have spots or markings.

Pigs can eat almost anything. Farm pigs often eat grain. They might eat corn and oats too. Wild pigs eat roots and fruits.
