Black Bears
   
There are two types of black bears. One is the American black bear. The other is the Asiatic black bear. Asiatic black bears have a white marking on their chest. All black bears are mammals.
Black bears are very big. Most have black fur. But some black bears are brown or tan. Black bears have brown noses. Their ears are round. Their paws have claws.

Black bears are in North America or Asia. They live in forests. They are often found near mountains. Black bears climb trees in their habitats.
Black bears eat other animals. Sometimes they catch fish. Black bears also eat plants. Grasses and berries are common food. Black bears also eat a lot of honey.
Baby bears are cubs. Cubs are born in a den. Mothers raise cubs for approximately 18 months. Black bears can live for 25 years.
