Clydesdale horses are huge, powerful animals. They are also beautiful and noble. It is no wonder these famous horses are known as gentle giants.
Clydesdales have huge bodies. They have a long neck and a large head. Most Clydesdales are brown or black. Their legs are covered in long white hair. This white hair is called feather.

Clydesdales need a clean stable and plenty of fresh air. Grooming keeps them healthy. Brushing keeps their coat clean and shiny. A Clydesdale’s feather needs to be washed and combed.
