Crocodiles
   
Crocodiles are big reptiles. They look similar to alligators. You have to look closely to tell them apart. Crocodiles have pointier noses. They are shaped like a V.
Crocodiles have tough skin. They are usually brown, black, green, or tan. Their eyes, ears, and nose are on the top of their heads.

Crocodiles usually live in tropical areas. They can often be found in the water. Many crocodiles live in swamps.
Crocodiles are predators. They eat big and small animals. Sometimes they eat frogs and birds. Other times they eat animals such as deer or zebras.
Crocodiles lay their eggs in nests. They lay around 50 eggs at a time. Crocodiles can live for more than 60 years in the wild.
