Crows

Crows are loud birds. They are known for being very smart. Many crows use tools to catch or open their food. Crows are similar to ravens, but they are smaller.
Most crows have black feathers. This helps them hide in the shade. Some crows also have white or gray feathers. All crows have strong beaks.

Crows live all over the world. They often build nests in trees. Crows live in groups. In the winter, thousands of crows roost together. This helps them stay safe and warm.
Crows will eat almost anything. They hunt small prey such as frogs or mice. They also eat plants and carrion. Sometimes they steal food from people or other animals.
Crows usually lay five or six eggs. All of the crows in a group help care for the babies. Crows live with their parents for up to six years. They live around 13 years in the wild.
