Jaguars
   
Watch out for jaguars. These big cats often live in rain forests and swamps. They have long tails, sharp teeth, and very strong jaws. They also like water and are good swimmers.
Jaguars usually have tan or orange fur. They have black spots called rosettes. However, some jaguars are completely black. Their spots are hard to see.

Jaguars live in South and Central America and Mexico. They live in many different habitats. Jaguars usually live in areas with lots of plants. You will almost always find them living near water.
Jaguars are meat eaters. They eat deer, turtles, fish, and much more. Jaguars usually hunt on the ground. They sometimes hide in trees and use their spots as camouflage.
Jaguars have one to four babies at a time. They often have twins. Baby jaguars are called cubs. Jaguars can live as long as 12 to 15 years in the wild.
